Rosazella (Rosa) Monroe, age 86, of Hartville, and formerly of Looneyville, WV, went to the Lord on Wednesday March 8, 2006 at Aultman Hospital. She was born October 20, 1919 in Mt. Holly, NC to the late General Grant and Anna Lipscomb. Preceded in death by her husband, George Leonard Monroe in 1960; son Bill Lipscomb in 1994 and a sister Catherine. She is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, George and Linda Monroe of Cuyahoga Falls, Stephen and Norma Jean Monroe of Valdosta, GA; daughter and son-in-law, Ruth and Darrel Powell of Canton; sisters Emma (Lloyd) Monroe and Sally Starcher all of Hartville and Alice Watts of NC; 17 grandchildren, 18 great-grandchildren and many nieces, nephews and friends. A member of First Baptist Church in Atwater, Rosa had been a cook for the Pantry then for Darrah's Restaurant in North Canton since the late 1960's and retired in 1997. She loved quilting. Friends may call Friday (TODAY) 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home and one hour prior to services Sat. 10-11AM. Funeral services will be Saturday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Tim Black officiating. Final resting place is North Canton Cemetery.
