Obituary

  • Ronald D. Walker, age 70, of Perry Township passed away on Saturday after suffering a heart attack. Ron was born in St. Albans, Vermont to the late Richard F. and Geraldine M. (Throckmorton) Walker. He graduated from Glenwood High School, attended Kent State University and was retired from Motive Parts Warehouse where he was Vice President. Ron was a true example of one who wished happiness to all around him. Though he had his own physical difficulties all of his life, he never focused on his problems. He was always interested in the health and welfare of his family and their successes. Ron is survived by his wife and soul mate of 37 years, Nancy (Leyda) Walker; daughters, Christine Hoover and Barb (Hoover) Kociba and her husband Keith Kociba; three grandchildren, Peter, Spencer, and Becca Kociba; two sisters, Linda R. and her husband Claude "Skip" Shriver, Katie and her husband Russell Ledbetter; two brothers, Greg Walker and his wife Lynette, Doug Walker and his wife Tina; 4 nieces, Amanda (Will) Crook, Jennifer Shriver, Samantha Walker and Kaylee Ledbetter; 7 nephews, Jonathan (Meghan) & Jason (Sarah) Shriver, Philip (Jessica), Christopher (Katie), Joshua and Bradley Walker, and Zach Dressel. Ron is also a proud great uncle to five great nieces and three great nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a nephew, Richard G. Walker.
