Ronald "Ron" E. Miller, wonderful husband, father, grandfather, businessman and generous friend, passed away Tuesday night, November 17, 2009. He was born December 3, 1938 in Akron to Rita and Herman Miller. Ron was a graduate of Buchtal High School in 1957. He attended the University of Akron and was a lifetime member of AE Pi Fraternity. Ron was very well known in local business circles. He had owned and operated Factory Industrial Supply, Inc. and Carbide Tools for 50 years. Ron was a member of Temple Israel and was a past member of Shaaray Torah Synagogue and the Canton Jewish Community Center. Mr. Miller was a very giving and philanthropic man in the community. From 1970-1974 he was the active President of the B'nai B'rith Lodge and was instrumental in raising funds for over 10 years for the B'nai B'rith Endowment Fund. He is survived by his loving wife of 22 years, Jennifer Miller; daughter and son-in-law, Lydia and Ronald Krasner of San Diego, California; sons and daughters-in-law, Andrew and Margaret Miller of Canton, Christopher and Nicole Herberghs of Canton, Mark and Debra Miller of Akron, Bryan Herberghs of Waynesburg, brother and sister-in-law Harold and Marlene Miller of Akron; sister-in-law and brother-in-law Pam and Richard McElroy and sister-in-law Penny Harris of Canton. Caring grandfather to, Eliana and Noah Krasner, Brock, Olivia, Kennedy, Taylor and Ellie Herberghs, Ryan, Riley and Zane Miller, Jarod Bohm and Christine Schady, nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives. A memorial service will be Friday 2:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Rabbi Leah Herz officiating. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations are requested to the Ellie Herberghs fund at Charter One Bank to help support her battle with Luekemia.
