Ronald John Hushour of Canton died June 25, 2016. Born June 21, 1930, in Smithville, Ohio, he graduated from North Canton High School in 1948. Ron was a graduate of Baldwin Wallace College in 1952 where he was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity. He was Division Manager of Good Supply and Equipment Co. in Canton and later Vice president and Branch Manager of Cleveland based Decker Reichert Steel and Supply in Canton. Ron retired from Trumbull Industries in Akron. He had been a member of Canton Elks Lodge #68, past president of Avondale PTA, coach for the Avondale Little League Baseball team, former member of Canton Rotary, and member of Trinity United Church of Christ. Ron and Bette enjoyed winters in Myrtle Beach. Ron worked out three days a week at Aultman North Cardiac Rehab, and enjoyed the company of fellow rehabers and his high school classmates for breakfast every Wednesday and Friday for years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Wilbur and Delta Hushour; mother-in-law, Helen Seitz; and step mother-in-law, Alma Moreland. Ron is survived by his wife of 63 years, Bette A. Hushour; sons, Jeffrey of Louisville and Randall (Mary Beth) of Cuyahoga Falls; grandchildren, Jessi (Zac) Martin of Louisville and Tyler Hushour of Cuyahoga Falls; great grandchildren, Peyton, Dillon, and Logan; and sister, Jane (Roy) Anderson of North Canton. Funeral service will be 12 noon Thursday in the Trinity United Church of Christ with Rev. Andrew Peck officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery. Friends may call 10 to 12 noon in church on Thursday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Please sign the guest book.
