Ronald C. Dunlap, age 69, lost his battle with Lewy Body disease on February 7, 2022, in the memory care unit of St. Luke Lutheran Community in North Canton. He was born in Canton on January 26, 1953, to Richard E. and Dorothy (Reisinger) Dunlap and graduated from Glenwood High School in 1971. He was a lifelong resident of the Canton area, spending most his career as a maintenance mechanic, and later as a school bus driver. Ronald enjoyed writing and listening to music, volleyball, playing video games with his boys, and immersing himself in nature, especially at Atwood Lake. His favorite passion was to make people laugh using his unique sense of humor, and his quick wit.

Ronald was preceded in death by his father, Richard E. Dunlap. He is survived by his wife of 37 years, Catherine (Katie); sons, Corey C. Dunlap of Canton and Peter J. Dunlap of Wadsworth; daughter, Jessica (Ben) Dunster of Washington and 3 grandchildren. He is also survived by his mother, Dorothy Dunlap; brothers, Richard (Cathy) Dunlap, Robert (Nora) Dunlap, Cristopher (Debbie) Dunlap, Scott (Abby) Dunlap; sisters, Sandy Rowe, Maryann Dunlap and many nieces and nephews.

Our family would like to give a very special thanks to all the caregivers in the memory care unit at St. Luke for their unwavering compassion and special care for Ron.

Calling hours will be Sunday, February 20, 2022, at the Arnold Funeral Home 1517 Market Avenue North, Canton from 2-4 pm. There will be a celebration of Ron's life at a later date.
