Roger N. Gemmel, age 29, of Canton, passed away unexpectedly Sunday February 18, 2007. Born in Huntington, WV on June 30, 1977, he graduated from Canton McKinley High School in 1996. Roger received his CDL, Class A, after attending Schneider Truck Driving School. He had worked 11 years for I-77 Fireworks and had been manager there for the past 6 years, and had been Bartending at Endzone West in Perry. Preceded in death by grandfather, Oliver Gemmel; he is survived by his parents, Oliver and Pearl Gemmel of Canton; grandmother, Margaret Gemmel of Cleveland; siblings, Oliver Gemmel III of Juarez, Mexico, Meg Gemmel of Canton, John & Andrea Gemmel of Boston, MA, James and Patty Sullivan of Hartville, Mark and Joan Sullivan of Canton, Pam and Jon Lemasters of Greentown; numerous aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends especially James and Kim Reed of Jackson Township. Friends may call Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home and one hour prior to services 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Thursday 11 AM in the funeral home with Pastor Bill Seymour officiating. Final resting place is Forest Hill Cemetery. Donations may be made to the family to assist with expenses.
