Roger E. Bennington, age 78, of Circleville, died October 5, 2012 at his residence. He was born June 24, 1934 in Highland County, Ohio, to the late Ralph and Delorice Bennington. A 1952 graduate of Circleville High School, Roger served in the Army in Korea. He graduated from the Ohio State University where he received a Juris Doctor degree in 1964. Roger was a practicing attorney in Circleville for 48 years, and was proud that both of his sons followed in his footsteps and became attorneys. Roger was preceded in death by his parents and sister-in-law, Barbara Bennington. He is survived by his wife of 49 years, Judith (Hosler); sons, Jeff (Trina) of Circleville and Kevin (Nicole) of Circleville; grandchildren, Ella and Kelton; step-grandchildren, Lyndsay and Bethany Stranges; brother, Ron Bennington of Canton; and many nieces and nephews. Funeral service will be held at 10:30 a.m., Friday, October 12, 2012. Friends may call from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 11 at Defenbaugh - Wise-Shoedinger Funeral Home, 151 E. Main St., Circleville.
