Rodney L. Hyland, age 73, of Hartville passed away unexpectedly on Saturday April 22, 2017. He was born on May 17, 1943 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin to the late Lawrence and Amanda (Oblinski) Hyland. Rodney married his childhood sweetheart, Donna Dolphin, served in the Army for 3 years and received his degree from St. Norbert College in De Pere, WI. A lifelong salesman, he retired from Time Warner. Rod spent a lifetime in community groups and giving back to the community including; Jaycees, Time Wasters, Eagles and the Elks clubs.

A most recent highlight was the whole family going on a cruise to celebrate Rodney's and Donna's 50th Wedding anniversary.

Survived by his wife Donna; children son Dan Hyland; daughter Christine and son-in-law A.J. Palfy, grandchildren Noah Gopfert and Derek Hyland; sister Cynthia Schaefer, sister-in-law Patsy Engelking; and other relatives and friends.

Calling hours are Wednesday at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Viewing will be from 4 - 7pm, with a service to follow at 7 PM. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
