Rodger D. Edgell age 69, passed away January 30, 2017, after a three-year courageous battle with metastatic kidney cancer, he was surrounded by his three loving daughters. Preceding in death by his parents, Conrad and Ruth (Morgan)Edgell, of East Sparta, Ohio, his 2 brothers Randy and Bradley, his infant sister Sherry and his infant granddaughter Hannah Howard.

Born in Canton Ohio in 1947, as a boy he liked to fish in the pond and pick apples from the trees. Rodger graduated from Canton South high school in 1965. He was a hard-working simple guy that enjoyed classical cars, hot rods and shooting pool. He won many tournaments on a national level. He was a meat cutter for many years. He was always punctual and got the job done! Rodger retired from the Strongsville Giant Eagle however continue to help cut and process meat for years later.

Survived by, his ex-wife: Cynthia Bowen, his daughters; Cheryl Jones Charlotte Edgell and Natalie Howard (Micheal)of North Canton, Oh. His siblings Melba Swarey of Mechanicsville, Maryland and Arley Edgell (Carolyn) of Berlin Center, Oh.

Grandchildren: Sophia Jones, Jeffrey Mullins Jr, Nicholas Mullins, Katelynn Howard, Joseph Howard, Gracie Howard and Emily Howard. A great granddaughter Trinity Mullins. As well as numerous nieces and nephews. His family will deeply miss him.

Memorial service at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Avenue North, Canton, Ohio 44714, will be Friday, February 3, 2017 at 2:00pm, burial will be at Melscheimer Cemetery. A monetary donation for the family maybe offered, to pay for services.
