Roberta Joan Blake Colmery, age 77, of Canton, Passed away Saturday evening in Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton to John and Emily (Scott) Blake. A 1950 graduate and Band member of Lincoln High School, as a young adult she was employed by Timken & E.W. Bliss, Artistic by nature, Joan enjoyed gardening, drawing, music, dogs and especially her cats. She enjoyed helping Cub Scouts as well as volunteering and teaching students studying for their GED's. Joan is survived by a son Douglas Scott Colmery of Canton, brother; James Richard (Martha) Blake of Gulfshores, Alabama, three nephews, dear friend Jean Smithley and former husband and friend Richard Colmery. Funeral Service will be Thursday, 11AM in Christ Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wendy L. Bausman officiating. Friends may call Wednesday 4-6 PM in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St. W. or Thursday 9:45 to 10:45 AM in the church Parlor. Interment in West Lawn Cemetery. In Lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Christ Presbyterian Church, Stephen Ministry 530 Tuscarawas St. W. Canton, OH 44702, United Way of Greater Stark County or Boy Scouts of America.
