. Robert D. Smith, age 81, of Canton died Monday morning in the Ohio Veterans Home Sandusky, Ohio. Born in Kingwood, W.Va. he was an Army veteran of the Korean War and was a retired steel worker from Canton Drop Forge. Preceded in death by his wife, Barbara A. Smith in 2003, he is survived by special friends to include Linda Williams. A private graveside service will be in Warstler Cemetery on Friday, Feb. 17, 2012.
