Robert P. "Sam" Samblanet, age 82, of Perry Township, died Wednesday afternoon in Aultman Hospital after a brief illness. Born in Cleveland to the late Alfred and Loretta (Violand) Samblanet he had been a life resident of this area. Sam was an Army Veteran of the Korean War serving in Germany, and was retired from Republic Steel after 40 years of service. In addition to his parents Sam was preceded in death by a sister Joyce Randall. Survivors include his wife: Lynne C. (Kopp) Samblanet. Sons: Kevin (Vicki) and Kyle S. Samblanet, Daughter: Kelly J. Samblanet. Grandchildren: Tara (Lash) Kinder, Sarah Samblanet, Ashley and Ryan Mowery. Great grandchildren: Cailey and Lash Kinder. Step Children: Douglas Shoup, Lynn Anne Shoup (Mike) Laurie Kulisek (Jim), brother-in-law Larry (Barb) Kopp. Step grandchildren: Caitlin (Jared) Metheny and Courtney Shoup. Siblings: Ron (Linda), Dennis (Elaine), Roger (Linda), Tim (Tina), Terry, Melinda Dannemiller, and Sue (Jerry) Randulic. Many nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews also survive. Funeral service will be 12 Noon Monday, June 29, 2015 in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St., W. Friends may call on Saturday from 12 to 3:00 P.M. and one hour prior to the service on Monday. Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to a charity of the donor's choice.
