In loving memory of Robert Riley, a man whose life was a beautiful symphony of love, dedication, and service. Robert, an esteemed Air Force Veteran, served our country with honor and courage. His commitment to duty was matched only by the enduring love he had for his departed wife, Carolyn jean Riley who passed on November 18, 2020. Robert passed away on February 12, 2024 to be with the Lord.

Robert was a devout follower of Jesus. Up until he passed, Bob was constantly coming along side of people encouraging them, inspiring them as he shared the love and Good News of Jesus. Bob was a "prayer warrior." He prayed for everyone he met who was struggling on a daily basis. He also was known to send cards and encouraging notes to people.

Robert's heart resonated with the soulful tunes of folk music, a passion that brought joy and depth to his life. Whether strumming along with his ukulele or sharing the joy of folk tunes with loved ones, his love for music was a threat that wove through the tapestry of his existence. Bob also played the guitar, banjo, and mandolin.

Robert's career was an illustrious investor as a real estate appraiser in Stark County.

His journey was inseparable from the memory of Carolyn, his beloved wife. Together, they embraced the harmonies of life and created a melody that transcends time. Now reunited in eternity, their love story remains an inspiration to all who were touched by their union.

In honoring Robert's legacy, let us remember the man who wore both the uniform of a patriot and the melody of a folk enthusiast with equal pride. His memory lives on in the songs he loved the love he shared, and the service he rendered.

A memorial service will be held Friday, March 1, 2024 at Hartville Church of the Brethren. Burial of ashes will take place at Sunset Hills Memory Gardens.
