Robert Burton Pratt, age 83, of North Canton, passed away Monday afternoon after an extended illness. A compassionate man, Bob was born in Jackson, Michigan to the late Arthur Comstock and Mary (Farris) Pratt. A graduate of Lincoln High School and Purdue University. He served in the Army Air Corp, and was retired Chief Automotive Engineer for the Timken Company. A member of Christ Presbyterian Church, Bob is survived by his wife of 61 years Elizabeth "Betty" Pratt, four children; Susan (Kraig) Dickes of N. Myrtle Beach, SC; Janice Pratt of North Canton, David Robert (Bonnie) Pratt also of North Canton and Carolyn (Greg) Hoogkamp of New York City. Seven grandchildren; Rob (Sarah) Dickes, Jackie Dickes, Andrew (Jenna) Pratt, Tim Pratt, Chris Pratt, Austin Hoogkamp and Hunter Hoogkamp. A Memorial service will be Saturday 3 P.M. in Christ Presbyterian Church with Rev. Wendy Bausman officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in the church. A private interment will be held for the family in North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to a cancer charity of your choice.
