Robert L. Nichols, age 88, of Hartville went home to be with the Lord on Monday March 8, 2021. He was born November 12, 1932 in Spencer, West Virginia to the late Hobart and Locie (McCune) Nichols. He met and then married May Reed on August 2, 1958. He served 3 years in the Army National Guard and continued his service monthly for an additional 2 years. He retired from Teledyne Monarch Rubber Co. He was a member of Hartville Church of God. Bob loved to fish and hunt.

He was preceded in death by his wife May on January 1, of this year; 3 siblings Claude Nichols, Maxine Steele and Jane Short. He is survived by his children Dianne Sparren, Lovell "Jr." (Debbie) Jones, Tim (Pam) Nichols; grandchildren Angie (Jay) Puckett, Nick (Juanita) Sparren, Nicole (Stephen) Parr, Jeremy Jones, Felisha Jones; great-grandchildren Kylee Puckett, Kinslee Puckett, Anthony Kirby, Riley Sparren, Ryah Sparren, Kaelyn Joy Parr, Brooklynn Noftsinger, Korie Parr, Brody Parr, Nolan Parr and Bailey Parr; siblings Christine Longfellow, Mary Lou Reed, Hobart (Peggy) Nichols; and other relatives and friends.

Calling hours are Friday 10 AM- 12 noon at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville. Graveside services follow the calling hours at Mount Peace Cemetery conducted by George Martin. Then following the graveside committal service, a memorial service will begin at 12:30 in his church, The Hartville Church of God with Pastor Neil Davis officiating.
