Robert H. Merryman, age 82 of Canton, Ohio, passed away November 20, 2015, at Windsor Medical Center after an extended illness. Bob was born in Canton, Ohio, to the late Earl H. Merryman and Mildred (Spangler) Merryman on November 3, 1933, and graduated from Middlebranch High School in 1951. He was in the Army from 1954 to 1956 and during this time he served with the occupation forces in Germany. He was employed by Perfection Laundry for 29 years and retired from ABB Services in 1998. He was a long-time member of Holy Trinity Lutheran Church and presently a member of Holy Cross Lutheran Church. He is survived by his wife of 56 years, Mary Ann (Brower) Merryman, and children Scott (Lori) Merryman of Green, Ohio, Natalie (Christopher) Rathbun of North Canton, Ohio, and grandchildren, Eric and Lisa Merryman, and Jack and Ben Rathbun. The family would like to thank the staffs of Windsor Medical Center and Crossroads Hospice for their compassion and care. Funeral service will be 11:00 A.M. Tuesday in Holy Cross Lutheran Church with Rev. Ralph Hough officiating. Interment will be in Warstler Cemetery. Friends may call on Monday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. and one hour prior to the service in church on Tuesday.
