Robert J. McCabe, age 89, of Canton and Dunellon, Florida died Monday in Florida after a very brief illness. Born in Moundsville, WV to the late John R. and Maryetta (Shipley) McCabe, he retired from Republic Steel after 34 years of service. He was a member of the North Canton Elk's and was preceded in death by his wife, Charlotte, in 1997. Survivors include a daughter, Jacqueline Tolbert of Canton; brothers, James (Earlene) Likens of Florida and Charles (Sara) Likens of Alabama; grandchildren, Valerie Tolbert (Rick) and Roy Tolbert (Christy); three great grandchildren, Zane, Mason and Landon. Funeral service will be Wednesday, November 8th at 1:00 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Rev. Dave Ryan officiating.
