Robert E. Lux Bob Lux enjoyed life and was loved, respected, and admired by many. He cherished his children and grandchildren and loved his many close friends, his extended family. A University of Missouri graduate, Bob relished business challenges and spent a career guiding businesses with a combination of skill, keen insight, and a practical approach to problem solving. One of Bob's greatest pleasures was mentoring and teaching others in life and in their careers, with quiet but firm guidance and leadership by example. Known as Bobo to many, he had an engaging charm, a quick wit and a ready smile. Bob was a dear, decent, and kind man with the highest integrity. He was an avid golfer and a wonderful dancer. He loved Congress Lake and the many pleasures and relationships it brought to him. He enjoyed the camaraderie of his many longstanding friendships and he was a true, loyal, and constant friend. Bob enjoyed nothing more than spending time with his wife, Sallie. They shared an unparalleled love, much happiness, and adventures large and small over many unforgettable years. Bob passed away Monday night, August 19, 2013 at his home with people who loved him. He was born August 19, 1937 and was raised in Madison, Illinois with his two younger brothers, Richard (Irene/Tiny) and Larry (deceased) (Sylvia). Bob is survived by his wife of nearly 36 years, Sallie; sons Larry and Brad (Mary) Lux; daughter Laurey (Jay) Ford; and grandchildren Bryan (Rachel), Caitlin, Sam (Heather), Kevin, Delaney, and Derek.
