Robert Luntz , age 97, of North Canton, passed away Wednesday afternoon February 11, 2015 in Windsor Medical Center. He was born August 21, 1917 in Canton to Abe and Fannie (Teplansky) Luntz. Robert was the former Chief Executive Officer of the Luntz Corporation where he also served as President and Chairman of the Board. He was a 1935 McKinley High School graduate and attended the University of Wisconsin. Mr. Luntz was a member and served on the board of Temple Israel. He was a past president of the Canton Jewish Community Center and had chaired the Jewish Welfare Federation Fund Drive, past president of Buckeye Council of the Boy Scouts and East Central Ohio Pilots Association, member of Canton Rotary, founding member of Stark County chapter of the American Cancer Society, Canton Chamber of Commerce. He served on the board of the National Association of the Recycling Industry. Robert is survived by his wife Kay; children Barbara and Jim Casey of New York, Suzanne and Gerald Knecht of California, Thomas and Anna Luntz of Florida, John and Cheryl Luntz of Columbus, Steven Hoffman of California, Philip Hoffman of Texas; siblings Joan Goulder of Cleveland, William and Sharon Luntz of Canton, Ida Rose Luntz of Cleveland; grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Preceded in death by brothers Ted and Richard Luntz. Burial will be Friday 10:00 a.m. in Northlawn Cemetery followed by a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. in Beit Ha'am, 432 30th St NW, with Rabbi Emeritus John Spitzer and Rabbi A.J. Kushner officiating.
