Robert W. Lang, of North Canton, Ohio and formerly of Naples, Florida, died Thursday evening at the age of 89 at Windsor Medical Center in North Canton. He was preceded in death by his wife of 55 years, Dorris J. Lang, who died in 2006, as well as four older brothers and a sister. Surviving are his daughter and son-in-law, Michele and Richard Mulanax of Canton, Ohio and his son and daughter-in-law, Rod and Sandi Lang of New Philadelphia, Ohio. A veteran of the United States Marine Corps, Bob served for six years, including both active and reserve duty, and was commissioned a second lieutenant. Educated in the Alliance City Schools, Bob graduated with honors from the University of Mount Union in 1954 with degrees in economics and business administration. He joined The Timken Company that year as an accountant trainee and retired in 1989 as vice president of personnel administration and logistics. Bob's memberships included the original Canton Club, where he served as president; Brookside Country Club in Canton and the Audubon Country Club and the Imperial Country Club in Naples. An avid sportsman, he was a member of Hill and Dale Hunting and Shooting Club in Medina, the Sportsman Shooting Center in Canton and the Port of the Islands Gun Club in Naples. The family would like to thank everyone at Windsor Medical Center, Crossroads Hospice and American Medical Professionals for their exceptionally kind and professional care.
