Robert L. Keener, 81, of Hartville passed away (just 5 days shy of his 82nd Birthday) on Friday April 24, 2015, in the comfort of his home, with his loving wife by his side. He was born April 29, 1933, in Hartville, Ohio, a son of the late Carleton and Edith Keener. He worked for Schumacher Lumber Company, Teledyne Monarch and then for Lake Local School. He loved his family, especially his grandsons and enjoyed watching the grandsons playing sports. He enjoyed working in his flower beds. He was also preceded in death by his brother Paul Keener. Surviving are his wife of 45 years, Rita; his daughter and son-in-law Sue and Joe Burawa, his grandsons Carleton (CJ) and Ethan Burawa all of Chippewa Township, PA; a sister-in-law Shirley Keener of North Canton; and nieces and nephews Dale Keener, Debbie and Larry Flounders, Diane and Tim Henson, and Dawn and Gary Blythe as well as many great nieces and nephews. Friends will be received Tuesday from 11 am to 12 pm at Arnold Funeral Home Hartville with funeral services immediately following with Pastor David Ryan of Grace Baptist Church officiating.
