Robert G. Herman, age 72, passed away unexpectedly on June 19, 2023. He was born in Canton to John and Amella (Teis) Herman and is a graduate of Timken High School, class of 1969. He spent his career as a tool and die maker for the Hoover Company, Rubbermade, and he retired from Alcoa. Robert was a lifelong Ham radio operator with the Callsign WB8KLC.

Robert is preceded in death by his wife and childhood sweetheart, Paula Herman in 2020. He is survived by his children Teresa "Tara" (Kevin) Bender and Donald (Rebekah) Herman; grandchildren Mason and Coco Bender and Zaavan Hell; sisters and brothers Beverly Popovich, Susan (Jack) Jones, Loretta (Bill) Coleman, John Herman, and James Herman; longtime family friend Diana; and his faithful companion, Sandy, the family golden retriever.

Calling hours will be Friday, June 23 from 9-11AM at the Arnold & Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home at 4871 Cleveland Ave NW. Funeral services will begin at 11AM with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating. Final resting place is Dundee Cemetery.
