Obituary
Robert J. "Bob" Boettler, Jr., age 81, passed away Saturday afternoon. Bob was born in North Canton to the late Robert and Esther (Smith) Boettler. He retired from the Hoover Company after 50 years of service and was a member of Faith United Methodist Church. He was on the Hoover golf and bowling teams, the church golf team and served on many committees. Bob was an eagle scout and helped build BSA-Seven Ranges. He loved gardening and working with Habitat for Humanity in Canton and in Florida.
Bob is survived by his wife of 54 years, Mary Jo Taylor Boettler; sons, Robert J., III (Mary), Scott (Angela) and James (Gia); grandchildren, Michael, Matthew, Nick, Grace. Jack, Ryan and Malalie; sisters, Faye (Jim) Hook, Sandy (Michael) Morrison, many nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 10 a.m. Saturday in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. N.W. with Rev. Cara Stultz Costello officiating. Interment will be in Sunset Hills Burial Park. Friends may call 5-7 p.m. Friday.
