Ritamae Garrettson, age 72, of Canton, passed away Sunday, March 27, 2016 after a brief illness. Ritamae was retired from Brookwood Management Company. She enjoyed traveling to West Virginia with her granddaughters enjoying the scenery, historical sites & train rides. Ritamae was preceded in death by her husband, Jacob; mother, Pearl Poling; several sisters and two brothers. She is survived by her loving sons, William (Jennifer) Garrettson and Thomas (Deborah) Garrettson; four granddaughters, Maurissa, Danae "Pebbles", Trisha and Kaitlyn; great-granddaughter on the way; brother, Theodore (Dorothy) Poling; sister, Patricia (Ellis) Guedel; sister-in-laws, Faye (Bill) Hall, Rose (Gail) Robinson and Shirley Garrettson; several nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held 11 a.m. Wednesday in the Good Shepherd Lutheran Church with Rev. Diana Thompson officiating. Friends may call one hour prior to the service in church. Interment will be private for the family. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to a charity of the donor's choice. Please sign the guest book.
