Richard Usko, age 96, of Lake Mary, Florida and previously Canton, Ohio passed away on June 15, 2025. He was born on May 21, 1929, in McKeesport, Pa to the late John and Rose Usko and following high school attended Cornell University. Rick grew up in his early years during the great depression. As a child, Rick and his family traveled throughout the Midwest as part of a minstrel show. All the family members sang, danced and put on skits. This is one way they raised money to survive.

Rick was an accomplished dancer and won several ballroom style contests as well as roller skate dancing. A complete triple threat. (Sing, dance and act) He worked as a dance instructor at Author Murray's in Canton early on. Then as a salesman for Buckeye Biscuit Cookie Co. From there he worked in food service, and Restaurant owner.

He is preceded in death by his parents John and Rose; siblings Ed (Dawn) Usko, Trudy Usko, Evelyn (Jack) Nicholson, Jack Usko, and Cliford Usko.

He is survived by his wife of 45 years, Doris Jean Usko; children Rick Usko, Randy (Megan) Usko, Celeste (Craig) Smith, and Denise Adams; grandchildren Richard Thomas (Julia) Usko, Nichole (Zach) Barnhart, Anthony John Usko, Samantha (Seth) Miller, Joseph John Usko, Makenna Usko, and Jason Saunders; great grandchildren Jaycee, Cale, Maycee, Colton, Keegan, Nezariah, Mathew, Levi, Kohen and Tyler.

Graveside funeral services will be held Friday, 11:30am at Henry Warstler Cemetery in Canton, Ohio
