Richard P. Stucky, age 79 of North Canton passed away on May 5, 2024, at Cleveland Clinic Mercy Hospital following a brief illness. He was born in Dover, Ohio on September 4, 1944, to John and Pearl (Bland) Stucky and is a graduate of Fairless High School and attended Wilmington College. He began his career as a sales representative with Nickles Bakery where he worked his way up through management. His bakery career took him across the country with stops in the Cincinnati area as well as Massachusetts. Dick then opened his own restaurant, Oscars Café in Canton, that he operated until his retirement. He was well known for his love of all people, his great sense of humor, and for his avid love of local highschool and college sports. Dick served his community by serving on the Board of Education at Fairless Schools and serving as their PA announcer at their football games as well as timekeeper for basketball games. Dick was honored to assist in the fundraising and construction of Brideweser Stadium. One of his favorite retirement hobbies was solving the world's problems at McDonalds with his group of friends over breakfast.

Dick is preceded in death by his parents and brother John "Jack" Stucky. He is survived by his wife of 40 years, Sandra Stucky; children Terri Comforti (John Stewart), Richard (Michelle) Mears, Renee (Dale) Dunlevy, and Lauren (Travis) Spicer; grandchildren Chelsea Comforti, Marcus (Danielle) Comforti, John Stewart, Kyle Stewart, Cody Mears, Shane Mears, Benjamin Mears, Patrick Mears, Kay Dunlevy, Leah Dunlevy, Samuel Dunlevy, Carson Spicer, Kennedy Spicer, and Kellan Spicer.

Calling hours will be Thursday, May 23 at the Arnold Funeral Home at 1517 Market Ave N, from 4-6 PM. Celebration of life services will be Friday, May 24 in the funeral home at 10:30 AM with Celebrant Kevin O'Brien officiating.
