Richard G. Stalko, 71, of Hartville, passed away peacefully on June 11, 2026 at Hartville Meadows. He was born on Valentine’s Day in 1955 in Detroit, Michigan, to the late Henry D. Stalko and Irene S. Bielski.
Rick was a warm, kindhearted soul who enjoyed going to dances and field trips and making friends, greeting everyone with a big smile and a “Hi- Ya!”. He loved going to workshop where he sanded wood plaques for signs, etc. for the Hartville Thrift Shoppe. His passion was RV’s and he always said he was saving his money from workshop to buy his own big RV one day. Being from Detroit he loved Muscle cars and car shows and riding in his brother’s Camaro.
Rick is survived by his brother and sister-in law, John (Vicki) Lauro, niece Bridgette Rogan; he is also survived by nephew Brian McGlynn, great-nieces Serenity & Nevaeh Rogan, and great-nephew Ryan Rogan Jr.
He was preceded in death by his Grandmother (Baba) Stella Bielski, Father Henry Stalko, and Mother Irene Lauro.
The family will receive friends on Saturday, July 11th at Hartville Church of the Brethren (353 Crestmont Ave SW, Hartville, OH 44632) starting from 10:00am.
