Seccombe

Richard R. (Dick) Seccombe, age 90, of North Canton died Friday evening in Aultman Hospital. Born in Canton to the late Richard & Minnie (Reis) Seccombe. Dick was a graduate of McKinley High School Class of 1939 and proudly served in the US Navy during WW II aboard the USS Stembel from 1941 to 1945 as a 1st Class Gunners Mate. He was the founder of Seco Machine in North Canton, OH. Dick loved playing golf and being a wonderful Grandfather. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his sister Evelyn (Seccombe) Morgan. Survivors include his wife of 40 years Mary C. (Luzio) Seccombe. Children: Laura J. (Todd) Woofter, Richard D. Seccombe, Stephen M. (Susan) Seccombe, Thomas B. (Marcie) Seccombe, and Timothy R. Seccombe. Eight grandchildren and seven great grandchildren. A brother-in-law and sister-in-law Del & Annette Rossio also survive. Family and friends are invited to call on Tuesday from 5 to 7 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. In keeping with his wishes a private interment will be for the family. Military service will be 7:00 P.M. Tuesday. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of Stark County 5100 Peach St., N.E. Louisville, 44641, as Dick very much loved his animals. Please sign the guest book.
