Richard L. Perez turned 66 years old the day he passed away, April 9, 2013 following a battle with pancreatic cancer. He was born in Canton on April 9, 1947. An Army veteran, he served in Vietnam where he was awarded two Purple Hearts, the Silver Star and the Bronze Star. He retired from the Timken Company in 2007. Preceded in death by his father Jospeh Perez, he is survived by his mother Augustina (Peral) Perez of Hartville; son Brett Perez of Virginia; daughter and son-in-law Stephanie and Brett Raub, granddaughter Tate and grandson Evan all of Streetsboro, Ohio; siblings Luis Perez of North Canton and Eloise and Jim Walls of South Carolina; many family and friends. To celebrate his life, a memorial will be held Saturday 12:00 noon at The Chapel at Tinkers Creek, 9709 Page Rd., Streetsboro, OH 44241 with Pastor Dave McClellan officiating.
