Obituary

Richard P. Menicos , age 78, of Canton died in his residence on Tuesday, February 20, 2007 after an extended illness. Born in Middlebranch, OH to the late Michael and Mary Lucy (Cook) Menicos he was a retired Lab Technician from Diamond Portland Cement Co. An Army Veteran of the Korean War, he was a member of Little Flower Catholic Church and the Men's Club of the Church. In addition to his parents Dick was preceded in death by a son: Christopher Menicos, Three sisters: Anna Petro, Virginia Miller, and Mary Mutigli, two brothers: Anthony Miller and Leonard Menicos. Survivors include his wife of 48 years: Lee Menicos of the residence. Daughter: Mrs. Vincent (Lisa) Pileggi of Arizona. Five grandchildren: Vincent, Anthony, Michael, Mia, and Nicholas. Sister: Flora Petro of Minerva, OH and a brother: Donald Menicos of Canton. Mass of Christian Burial will be Saturday 10:00 A.M. in Little Flower Catholic Church with Fr. Robert J. Hannon as officiant. Interment will be in North Lawn Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 5 to 8 P.M. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave., N.W. The procession will form at the church on Saturday. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Aultman Hospice 2821 Woodlawn Ave., N.W. Canton, OH 44708.
