Richard Calvin Lute, Jr.

Richard C. Lute, Jr., age 73, of Mogadore passed away August 4, 2026. He was born in Barberton on May 18, 1953, to the late Richard C. and Betty (Miller) Lute. He is a graduate of Springfield High School and attended the University of Akron. Richard spent well over 20 years working for Diebold as a mechanical design engineer. He had a passion for old cars and enjoyed attending car shows locally and looking for the best Chevy Camaro at each show. He enjoyed listening to the Beatles and making wooden toys for his kids and grandchildren.

Richard is preceded in death by his wife Patricia Lute and brother George Lute. He is survived by his children Richard C. Lute, III, Jami (Craig) Rediger, and Christopher Lute; grandchildren Dylan Rediger, Austin (Summer) Rediger, Ashley Rediger and Alyssa Harrah; great grandchildren Rylan, Ryker, Hudson, and Rhett; longtime girlfriend Elaine Taucher; several nieces, nephews, and close friends. 

Celebration of life open house will be held Friday, August 7 from 4-6 PM at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville.
