Richard W. "Dick" Kettering, age 70, of Canton passed away Wednesday morning, October 11, 2006 at Canton Regency. He was born April 18, 1936 in Canton to Walter W. and Marie (Chenot) Kettering. Dick was a member of Zion United Church of Christ. He had a great sense of humor, always offered you a warm hand shake and a cheerful smile. He enjoyed helping others and volunteered in various areas at the Canton Regency. He was a people person. He overcame obstacles in his life that many considered to be impossible with the love and encouragement from his devoted mother and father. Together the three of them traveled extensively. He was preceded in death by his father in 1994, Walter. Survivors include his mother, Marie Kettering of Canton Regency, aunts, Polly Jacob and Marjorie Cox and various cousins. Funeral services will be Friday 11:00 AM in the Arnold Funeral Home with Rev. Roy Wagner officiating. Friends may call ½ hour prior to services 10:30-11 AM.
