Richard E. Dayton Jr., age 65, of Canton, went home to be with the Lord on February 13, 2013 at 2:13 PM at Cleveland Clinic with his loving family by his side. He was born in Canton on May 30, 1947 and graduated from East Canton High School where he played football. He managed the Bonded Gas Station at Everhard and Fulton, then was a drywall hanger and finisher, and then a manager for Hursh Builders Supply. He enjoyed drag racing and modifying cars, was fond of Corvettes and was a competitive bowler. He is survived by his wife of 38 years Reana; children Amy Evey, Rachel (Mark) Fisher, and Rich Dayton all of Canton; grandchildren Don, Macala and Nicholas, Journey, Arlen and Janellyn; father Richard Sr.; brothers Carl (Liz) and David (Megan). He was preceded in death by his mother Martha and daughter April. Calling hours are Sunday 5-5:30 PM and a memorial service will begin at 5:30 PM all at High Mill Church of the Resurrection with Pastor Chuck Schumacher officiating.
