Obituary

Richard J. Hower, age 80 of Canton, went to be with the Lord Friday, October 5, 2007 in Aultman Hospital. He was born October 8, 1926 in Canton to Fred and Alice (Kettering) Hower and was a lifetime resident of Canton. Mr. Hower owned and operated several Laundromats and Apartment buildings in the Canton area. Richard was a 1944 graduate of Lincoln High School, and was a Navy Veteran of WW II and the Korean War. He was a member of Central Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife of 39 years Carolyn in 1993 and a daughter Randi Dye in 2006. Survivors include two daughters, Marsha Lioi of Canton, Tara (Mark) Cardwell of Heflin, Alabama; sister, Marilyn Sweet of Columbus and 17 grandchildren. Funeral services will be Tuesday 11:00 a.m. in Central Baptist Church, 4736 West Tuscarawas Street, Canton with Pastor Randy Newcomer officiating. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
