Richard James Hillick, 84, of Green, formerly of Plain Township, went home to be with the Lord on February 21, 2021. He was born in Ithaca, New York to the late Francis Richard and Ruth (Burns) Hillick.

He married the late Elizabeth Ewing of Orrville on July 28, 1957 after meeting in Cuyahoga Falls where she was a school teacher and he arrived to open a grocery store for the Loblaw Company. He continued in the supermarket business also working for IGA and Fleming Foods.

Richard served as the President of the East Central Food Dealers Credit Union for many years. He was a long time member of Canton Baptist Temple singing for decades in the choir.

He will be most remembered for his role as loving and cherished Grandfather to Sarah, Matthew and John. He is survived by his daughter Joyce, brother Edmund, and his fur companions Nicky, Jackson and Oliver.
