Richard Lee Farson, age 66 of Massillon, passed away after a brief illness Sunday, May 1, 2011 while vacationing in Florida. He was born January 29, 1945 in Marietta, Ohio to Norris and Ora Louise (Martin) Farson. Richard worked in the Human Resource Departments of Republic Steel, LTV Steel, Stark Ceramics and World Kitchen. He was a graduate of Walsh College. Mr. Farson was a past president of Canton Rotary, was a past member of the Canton Jaycee's and volunteered for Habitat for Humanity. He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Gloria; sons and daughters-in-law, Todd Farson of Massillon, Bryan and Nikki Farson of Wadsworth, Jeffery and Angie Farson of Parma; mother Ora Louise Peters (Martin); sister and brother-in-law, Jackie and Sonny Tidenberg , half sister, Sandy Ledford (Farson), half brother, Stan Farson; grandchildren, Nathan, Hailey, Theodora, Zoe, Benjamin and Claire. Richard was preceded in death by his father and brother Norris Farson. A memorial service will be held Monday 6:00 p.m. at the Arnold Funeral Home in Canton with Rev. Mike Bragg officiating.
