Obituary

Raymond E. White, age 87, of North Canton passed away Tuesday, December 4, 2012. Born to the late Warren and Marguerite White, January 26, 1925 in Coudersport, Pennsylvania. Ray graduated high school in 1943 then entered the US Army where he served three years in the European Theater, Belgium, France and Germany under Patton 89th Golden Acorn, and survival of the Battle of the Bulge. Ray entered Barnes School of Commerce in Denver, Colorado while working for Mountain Bell Telephone Company. He came to Canton in 1948 and married Cleo Davidson on November 22, 1949. Ray retired from Bell Telephone Company in 1982 with 35 years of service. He enjoyed many trips to Canada and 18 seasons in Punta Gorda, Florida. Ray was Master of Julliard Lodge of Louisville in 1969, patron of Order of Eastern Star, member of Telephone Pioneers and Dueber Methodist Church. In addition to his parents Ray was preceded in death by his step mother, two sisters, five brothers and grandson Keith in 2008. He is survived by his loving wife Cleo, Daughter; Gale (Dan) St. Clair, sons; Brad and Brian (Cheryl) White. Grandchildren; Amy (Bill) Shover, Kevin St. Clair, Zach, Jesse (Samantha) and Hannah White, great grandsons; Trent and Ty Shover. 3 sisters also survive. A private service was held for the family with interment in North Lawn Mausoleum. Please sign the guest book.
