Raymond D. Pryor, age 82, of Canton died Wednesday evening in the Canton Christian Home after an extended illness. Born in Akron, Ray was an Army Veteran of WW II and retired from the Ford Motor Company in 1986 where he was a machinist. He was a member of Church of the Savior United Methodist for over 50 years, Wesley Fellowship, also a member of Ford Retirees and the 736th Tank Battalion. Survivors include his wife of 56 years: Charlyn Pryor of the residence, Four Daughters: Mrs. David (Pamela) Oliver of Bowling Green, OH, Mrs. Robert (Deborah) Boron and Mrs. Keith (Linda) Williams both of Canton, Mrs. Daniel (Patricia) Gernert of TX. Two sisters: Elsie Halley of Hilliard, OH and Daisy Peterson of Bolivar. Ray is also survived by 15 grandchildren. A memorial service will be Saturday 11:00 A.M. in the Canton Christian Home with Chaplain Ronald Iwanusa officiating. A private interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
