Raymond A. Miller, age 98 of North Canton, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011 in Windsor Medical Center, He was born March 1, 1913 in Atlanta, Georgia to Charles Wesley and Rebecca (Zivitz) Miller. Raymond has been a resident of Canton for the past ten years having moved here to be closer to his family. He was a member of Temple Adath Israel in Lexington, Kentucky and Temple Israel in Canton. Mr. Miller and his Late wife, Edna worked together in their business, Cinderella Women's and Children's Clothing Store in Danville, Kentucky and he was very active in that community. He was a past president of the Danville Chamber of Commerce and the Danville Lion's Club, served on the board of Ephrim McDowell Memorial Hospital, was a Mason and and honorary Kentucky Colonel. Raymond was preceded in death by his wife Edna in 2008, two sisters and three brothers. He is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Charlotte and Stanley Greenwald of North Canton; sons and daughters-in-law, Dr. Robert and Jane Miller of Mt. Pleasant, South Carolina, Jonathan and Ilene Miller of Atlanta, Georgia; grandchildren, Robyn (David) Cutler, Laura Einstein, Jordan (Terri) Greenwald, Alison (Dan) Ringel, Stephanie (Steve) Shane, Janice (Edward) Baig, Amy and Kerry Miller and 15 great grandchildren. Graveside Funeral Services will be Monday 11:00 a.m. at North Lawn Cemetery with Rabbi Jon Adland officiating. Memorial contributions may be made to Temple Israel.
