Raymond G. Bergdorf, age 78, a resident of Hartville for 46 years went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday October 13, 2009 in the comfort of his home. Preceded in death by his parents Raymond and Pearl (Wurzbacher) Bergdorf and wife Betty J. Bergdorf. Survived by his 2 daughters and sons-in-law Gail and Mark Estep of Hartville, Lois and John Holsopple of Minerva, 1 sister Donna Wise of Peninsula, 3 grandchildren, 1 great-granddaughter and numerous nephews and nieces. Raymond had been a Korean War Air Force Veteran and was a member of the Greentown American Legion Post 436. He retired from Goodrich Chemical in Akron. He served on the finance committee and was a member of the Greentown United Methodist Church. Funeral services will be Saturday 12 noon in the Arnold Funeral Home, Hartville with Pastor Phil Hoverstock officiating. Calling hours are one hour prior to services Saturday 11 AM- 12 noon. Final resting place is Mount Peace Cemetery. In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Greentown United Methodist Church, PO Box 1, Greentown, OH 44630.
