Bob Polen, age 89, of Canton, passed away Thursday April 22, 2021. He was born on February 22, 1932 in Steubenville, Ohio to the late Ralph and Mary (Hooper) Polen. He married Virginia McCall and was an Army Veteran serving time in Germany. He retired from Republic Steel, the transportation department. During retirement, he enjoyed being part of the McDonalds' senior group.

Preceded in death by his wife Ginny; son Robert Paul and daughter Deborah Ann; and faithful dogs Charlie, Daisy and Slim.

He is survived by daughter Diane (John) Ullman; son Alan (Sally) Polen; grandchildren John (Amanda), Shawn (Tersa) and Brian (Kelsey) Ullman, Christina (David) Jehle, Kyle (Nicole) Polen, Brianna Polen; great-grandchildren Nathan and Adrian Ullman, Lacey and Austin Jehle, Cooper; Tressie a longtime loving companion; other relatives and friends.

Calling hours are Sunday 3-5 PM at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave N, Canton. A graveside service with military honors will be Monday 1:30 PM at Melscheimer Cemetery. Memorials may be made to Stark County Humane Society.
