Ralph M. Motz, age 85, of the Hartville- Uniontown areas, went home to be with the Lord Thursday October 23, 2008 in the comfort of his home with his family by his side. Born in North Canton, Ohio on April 26, 1923 to the late Milo and Anne (Strouble) Motz, he was a WW II Army Veteran. After working for Schoner Chevrolet, Ralph owned and operated his own business, Motz Garage, pioneering with perfection in the Corvette industry specializing in paint finishes and total restoration. He was past-president of the Buckeye Corvette Club, charter member of Akron Midget Club, and was a member of the Holiday Ramblers. Preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Audrey May on March 31, 2008; he is survived by sons Roger Motz of Altercare of Hartville, Rick Motz of Uniontown, daughter Shirley (Jeff) Weyrick of Green; special daughter-in-law Cheryl Motz of Hartville; grandchildren Chad Motz, Denise Motz, Evan Motz, Alison Weyrick, Marc (Amanda) Weyrick; great-grandchildren MaKayla Motz and Jaxon Weyrick; many nieces and nephews. Calling hours are Monday 5-8 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Hartville and one hour prior to services Tuesday 10-11 AM. Funeral services are Tuesday 11 AM in the funeral home with Rev. Glenn Rogers officiating. Final resting place is St. Jacobs Cemetery. The family wishes to express sincere appreciation to the Mercy Hospice Staff for their great comfort and care.
