Dr. Ralph B. Lind 1923-2016 age 93 of Canton, passed away Monday evening, Dec. 19, 2016 in Towne Center Care Facility, Avon Lake, Ohio. He was born July 13, 1923 in Middlebranch, Ohio to Henry and Stella (Bixler) Lind. He graduated from Lehman High School in 1941 and Ohio State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 1946. Ralph was also a World War II Army Veteran. Dr. Lind was a founder and partner of the Stark Animal Hospital and practiced Veterinary Medicine for 41 years. He was a member of the Stark County, Ohio and American Veterinary Medical Associations. He was also a member of John Knox Presbyterian Church, Brookside Country Club, Canton Rotary, and Hall of Fame Luncheon Club. He loved OSU football, golf, and bowling, but his greatest love was his wife and family. He was preceded in death by his wife of 65 years, Norma, in 2013; a daughter Ann Louise Lind in 1978; and a brother, Robert Lind, who died in World War II. He is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Shirley and Robert Strouse of Loveland, Colo., Becky and Richard Willis of Avon, Ohio; grandchildren, Zachary Strouse and fiancé, Sarah of Ft. Collins, Colo., Micah (Kaylee) Strouse of Loveland, Colo., Kathleen (Jarod) Arlia of Akron, Abigail (Rico) Aragon of Colorado Springs, Colo., Rachel Willis of Edinburgh, Scotland, Sarah (Timothy) Routzahn of Columbus, Ohio, Hannah Willis of Scottsdale, Ariz., Matthew Willis of Denver, Colo., Rebecca Willis of Avon, Ohio and many great grandchildren. Funeral services will be Thursday, Dec. 29, 2016 at 11 a.m. in John Knox Presbyterian Church with Rev. Thomas Houston and Rev. Ryan Johanning officiating. Interment will be in Forest Hill Cemetery.
