Polly E. Hostetler, age 79, of Hartville, went home to be with the Lord Saturday Night March 5, 2011 following an extended illness. She was born on March 8, 1931 in Moorehead, Missouri to the late Daniel and Mattie (Bontrager) Hall. She moved to Hartville at the age of 4 and married Ervin Hostetler in 1948. Once her children were raised, Polly completed nursing training and worked at St. Luke's Lutheran Home. Later she worked at Darrah's Restaurant. She was a charter member of the Hartville Mennonite Church where she served as a Sunday School Teacher and song leader. More recently she attended First Baptist Church of Atwater. Preceded in death by her husband Ervin in 1993; brother Howard Hall; and daughter-in-law Deborah Hostetler. She is survived by her children Linda (Brent) Gallagher of Oregon, Darrell Hostetler of Portage Lakes, Michael Hostetler of Minerva; 10 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren; siblings Dan (Laverta) Hall, Marty ( the late Moses) Sommers, Harold (Judy) Hall, Dave (Carol) Hall and Don Hall; other relatives and friends. Calling hours are Thursday 2-4 & 6-8 PM at Hartville Mennonite Church., 1470 Smith-Kramer St. Funeral services are Friday 10:30 AM in the church. Her final resting place is Walnut Grove Cemetery.
