Phyllis E. Greene, age 79, of Canton, died early Saturday morning after an extended illness. A life resident, she was a retired receptionist having worked for Dr. William King. Phyllis was a life member of Redurban Presbyterian Church and was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Greene, in 1994. She is survived by her son, Thomas Efremedes, of Canton, who would like to thank the Laurel's and Mercy Speciality Unit for their loving care of his mother. Funeral service will be Tuesday, 11:00 a.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 710 Tuscarawas St. W. with Rev. Lynn Shetzer officiating. Interment will be in West Lawn Cemetery.
