Phillip Anthony Zampino Jr. went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, August 3, 2021. Phillip was born on October 15, 1970 in Canton, Ohio to the late Phillip Anthony Zampino Sr and Diane (Timmons) Zampino. He was a 1989 graduate of GlenOak High School, attended the University of Akron, and served in the United States Marine Corp. He was employed at Wacker Chemical Corporation. Like his father, Phillip was passionate about percussion. He played in the Percussionists, the GlenOak High School Marching Band, the Bluecoats Drum and Bugle Corps, the University of Akron Marching Band, the United States Marine Corp Band, toured with Carnival Jubilee and played on the road in numerous bands throughout his years like New Little Country and the RWB Band. Phil was also a drum teacher to many students. Whether or not you knew Phil, you were always greeted with a genuine smile and an endearing, contagious giggle.

In addition to his parents, Phil Jr was preceded in death by his Grandparents, Michael and Helen Zampino and Byron and Eleanor Timmons; Aunt and Godmother, Carol Esway, and Uncle, Chuck Timmons.  He is survived by his Children, Harmony Zampino and Phillip A Zampino III; Sisters, Deana (Chris) Stafford, Anjanette (Chris Premier) Zampino; Brother, Michael (Suleyma) Zampino; Nieces and Nephews, Ellie Stafford, Abbey Stafford, Nakoa Keefer, Emalee Murdock, Josh Stafford, and Leilani Zampino; Great-Nephews, Carson Shattuck and Jaylen Jackson; Aunts and Uncles, Ben (Ann) Zampino, Gary (MaryBeth) Timmons, Anita (Ed) Elliott, and Greg (Vicki) Timmons; and Uncle and Godfather, Eugene Esway, and many cousins.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held at Arnold Funeral Home, 1517 Market Ave N, Canton on Thursday, August 12, 2021 with calling hours beginning at 9 am. The service will begin at 11 am with Phil's Confirmation Godfather, Rick Weber, presiding. Burial will follow the service at North Lawn Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, please donate to a non-profit organization of your choice in memory of Phillip A. Zampino Jr.
