Obituary

Phillip H. Malone, Jr. "Pete", age 60 of Canton died Saturday afternoon due to complications from heart surgery. Born in Canton to the Late Phillip and Mildred (Marsh) Malone Sr. Pete had attended East Canton High School, worked at Nickels Bakery and Wilmont Mining where he received his degree in Blasting and Drilling from Belmont Technical College. Pete had been a volunteer fireman with Beach City Fire Department and currently a long time employee of Union Metal. He was a member of Louisville Eagles and Massillon Moose. When the boys were young he coached little league football, was also a big NASCAR fan and enjoyed helping out his nephew Randy at Midvale Speedway and Smith Racing. Pete is survived by his loving wife and best friend Cheri, sons; Bunk (Tina) Malone, Scott Malone, Spike (Sherry) Boitnott and Andy (Mandy) Krupinski, grandchildren; Brittany, Ayden and Olivia Belle expected in June. Siblings; Bonnie (Leo) Smith, Frances (Tom) King, Mary (Le) King, Kathy (Paul) Wise, Millie Sue (Ron) Romans, Bill (Kathy) Malone and Denny (Debi) Malone also survive. The family would like to thank Union Metal and employees for their support; Dr. Hirsch, Jen, Karen and Tiffany; Dr. Parrish and staff and Cleveland Clinic staff for their phenomenal care. Funeral Service will be Friday, 10:00 a.m. in the Spiker-Foster-Shriver Funeral Home 4817 Cleveland Ave. NW. Interment will be in Hanover Cemetery, Scio, Ohio. Friends may call on Thursday 2-4 and 6-9 p.m. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made in Pete's name to any animal charity of choice.
