Peter W. Cox, age 82, of Canton passed away Monday August 16, 2010 unexpectedly. Born in Canton on August 31, 1927 to the late Herbert J. and Catherine (Neff) Cox, and graduated from Lehman High School in 1946. He graduated from Canterbury College then served in the US Army during the Korean War. He was an insurance adjuster and retired from Prudential. Peter was past president of OGCA, was a Kentucky Colonel, an honorary Texas Ranger, and he was a member of Canton Lodge No. 60 , F & AM. He is survived by his wife of 57 years Donna R.; daughters Lydia "Dea" (Greg) Vaughan of Grove City, Catherine "Katie" (Ron) Dunlap, Donna Lynn (Henry) Rockwell, Deborah "Debbie" (Wes) Stitt all of Canton; 6 grandchildren Aaron, Chelsea, Sara, Corey, Brenna, Peter; 3 great-grandchildren Yohanna, Jazmin and Bridgett; 12 nieces and nephews, 18 great nieces and nephews and 7 great-great nieces and nephews as well as lots of friends. He will always be considered the GRAND POO BAH of the Cox girls. Preceded in death by his siblings David McCormak, Betsy Kuendig, Thomas Cox, Herbert Cox and Sue Guest. The family will receive friends on Saturday 1-5 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home Canton. Final resting place is North Lawn Cemetery. (Arnold 330-456-7291) www.arnoldfuneralhome.com
