Perry Richard Lavy, age 84, of Uniontown went to be with the Lord on Wednesday evening August 2, 2006 at Altercare of Hartville. Born on June 11, 1922 in Brookville, OH to the late Samuel and Corda (Hoover) Lavy, he was a WW II Army Veteran and retired from Monarch Rubber Co. after 30 years of service. He was a member of East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren and enjoyed bowling and traveling. Preceded in death by his wife Shirley Mae (Weisel) in 1986; 4 sisters, Mary Lavy, Frances Riemenschneider, Catherine Guisinger and Ruth Henry and 2 brothers, John K. and Orion Lavy. Survived by children, James Lavy of Uniontown, Thomas Lavy of Greentown, Linda Sue Lavy of Andover, Garry (Diana) Lavy of Canton, Sharon (Johnny) Maarschalk of North Canton, Kevin Lavy of Cuyahoga Falls; 8 grandchildren Adam Maarschalk, Brian (Crystal) Maarschalk, Joshua (Audrey) Maarschalk, Corey Maarschalk, Tyler Maarschalk, Juliette Lavy, Jaclyn (Mark) Seifreit and Amber Lavy; and 4 great-grandchildren, Nathaniel Maarschalk, Matthew Hohler, Brandon and Chloe Seifreit; sister Naomi Smudak of Canton; brothers, Willard of North Canton and Daniel (Wilma) of Uniontown; and many nieces, nephews and friends. Friends may call Friday (Today) 6-8 PM in the Arnold Funeral Home and 1 hour prior to services Saturday 11- 12:00 PM in the church. Funeral services will be 12:00 PM in the East Nimishillen Church of the Brethren with Pastor Tobin Crenshaw. Final resting place is the church cemetery.
