Pearl Marie Vickers, age 88 of Louisville, passed away Friday, August 21, 2015 at Mercy Medical Center. She was born January 21, 1927 in Canton to Edward and Mae (Crowl) Mattern. Pearl retired from Central Allied in Canton where she drove trucks, drove School Busses in Marlington School District and helped her husband at the Arco in Hartville and Marathon Springfield. She was a graduate of Louisville High School and was a member of Marlboro Church of Christ. Her husband, Richard William Vickers preceded her in death in 2001. She is survived by daughters, Darlene (Jack) Gobley of Atwater, Sherry (Ernest) McCracken of Marlboro, Sandy (Russell) Bean of Limaville; sons, Victor (Patty) of Atwater, Terry (Joyce) of Hartville, Dick (Cindy) of Marlboro, Russell (Lisa) of Vermillion; sister Norma Burton of North Canton; brother, Dwight (Jane) Mattern of Louisville; 22 grandchildren and 48 great grandchildren; 1 great great grandson. She was also preceded in death by sisters Doris Dorn, Lois Messer and Carol Mattern. Calling hours will be Tuesday 2-4 and 6-8 at the Arnold Funeral Home in Hartville. Funeral services will be Wedesday 11:00 a.m.at the Funeral Home with Rev. Ernie McCracken and Pastor Dave Hohlbaugh officiating. Interment will be in Marlboro Cemetery.
